Bunny from another Planet

There is only 3 non turbo boxer engine vehicles that you can buy from the dealership today, the Subaru BRZ, The Toyota 86, and the Scion FR-S. All of them are powered by the 2 litter boxer engine by Subaru and also sharing the same identical body. Before what we see are collaboration between two different manufacturers in order to produce 2 identical cars, but this 2 door 4 seat car is on a whole new generation so they made it in 3.

When these cars was introduce, it hit the car scene really hard. Performance parts, body kits, wheels are available and different builds appear left and right on car meets, blogs, and almost everywhere across the internet. One of the most famous kit used on these cars is the rocket bunny kit. Our featured vehicle now is the aggressive Scion FR-S by MR. Mike Torino from Sta. Clara CA. His FR-S is on Rocket Bunny with a twist making it look like a car from planet Toyota.

Mr. Torino, an X-ray Tech who loves to let it loose making sounds on his drums and loves fixing cars on his own sums up his build as it is built from passion and his dream. His Biggest influence for his love for cars was inherited from his Dad. He practiced his perfection of this Scion FR-S from his previous cars a Honda Accord, a Toyota Celica and one of the fan favorite, a Mitsubishi Evolution 9. As the Toyota 86 was one of the most famous cars in the car scene, the idea why he choose this FR-S as his weapon is that it was the Toyota 86 of our time!

Due to his love and passion for building and fixing cars, he started this project for ARK Movement. The biggest problem that he encountered in this build is the installation of his one of a kind Rocket Bunny Kit as it is not just the ordinary Rocket Bunny kit that we see, he made look more aggressively. For him, the most unique part of his car is the custom side skirts done by Innovative Dynamics. He also installed Gram throttle Body, Greddy manifolds, 1320 headers, and dual exhaust titanium tips with piping from ISR performance.

Asked how much he have already spent on his car? The answer is that seeing the roll and how it sits right now, makes all the money spent are all worth it and the car for him is priceless. Soon he wanted to build an M3, NSX, S2000, and a 180sx. The advice that he would give for those who wanted to give to fellow car enthusiast starting and currently building their own project, is that take time in perfecting their build and don’t rush the build. Slowly but surely as it was the best lesson that he have learned on these project.
